Akila Subasinghe secured the degrees of MESc and PhD from the Western University, Canada, working on cancer research and radiation biodosimetry. He received his B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.  He is presently a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. 

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Artificial Intelligence, Image Analysis, Biomedical Engineering 

Biswajeet Pradhan secured the degrees of, MSc in Remote Sensing/Applied Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), India, a Master of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India, and Dresden University of Technology, Germany, and Ph.D. in 2006 in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Geomatics from the University Putra Malaysia. He received his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from the Berhampur University in Odisha, India in 1995. He is presently working as a distinguished professor and the founding Director of the Centre for Advanced Modelling and Geospatial Information Systems (CAMGIS), Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Remote sensing, Geographic information systems (GIS), Complex modeling, Machine learning, Artificial intelligence (AI), and their application to natural hazards and environmental phenomena.

Chamitha de Alwis received his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom. He received his B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.

RESEARCH INTERESTS: 5G, 6G, IoT, Blockchain and Network Security

Chandima obtained a First-Class Degree in Physics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1993. He has done the research for his PhD (1999) and postdoctoral research on lightning protection and high voltage engineering at Uppsala University, Sweden. Chandima Gomes is the Professor of High Voltage Engineering; the Chair, ESKOM Power Plant Engineering Institute-HVAC; and the Director, Centre of Excellence on High Voltage Engineering, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

Harsha Dissanayeke received his M. B. B. S. degree from the University of Colombo in 1995. He obtained his M.Phil Degree in the year 2005 from the University of Colombo. Furthermore, he completed his M. D. in Radiology from the University of Colombo in 2006, while getting his board certification in the year 2008.  He is currently attached the the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Jagath Samarabandu received B. Sc (Eng) in Electronics and Telecommunication with first class honours from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 1982. He was awarded the Fulbirght scholarship in 1987 for postgraduate study at State University of New York at Buffalo. He received M.S and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from SUNY-Buffalo in 1990 and 1994 respectively.He held a post-doctoral position in the Dept. of Biological Sciences at SUNY-Buffalo untill 1997 and joined Life Imaging Systems Inc. as a senior software engineer in 1997. He has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Western Ontario since 2000.

Randima Dinalankara secured the his PhD from the Western Missouri, USA. He received his B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.  He is presently a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. 

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision

Sajith Edirisinghe obtained his M. B. B. S. Degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is currently serving as a Lecturer attached to the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. 

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Anatomy, Novel Medical education techniques, Novel methods of Human tissue preservation and human tissue plastination

Turgay Celik secured the degrees of B.Sc. (Hons), MSc. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Warwick, UK, and received his second Ph.D. degree as well from the same university in 2011. He is presently working as a Professor of Electrical and Information Engineering and digital transformation at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and as the Director at the Wits Institute of Data Science in the same University. 

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Signal and Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, Remote Sensing

Udaya Wijenayake received his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, and his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea in 2018 and 2013 respectively. He received his B.Sc. (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), Sri Lanka. He is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), Sri Lanka.

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction

Vidura Jayasooriya obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in October 2014 from the University of Peradeniya. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he joined the industry and worked for a year before starting his postgraduate degree in 2016. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Dakota State University, USA in 2020. He is presently a Senior Lecturer attached to the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
